Our first visit to York made that little bit extra special by Valentinos, conveniently 10mins away from the guest house, we went 2 nights in a row. The food is really tasty and the service and atmosphere is great. Portion sizes were just right also. If we ever go back to York this restaurant is top of the list for our evenings.

We didn't have any prior knowledge of Valentinos and needed a place to eat, a quick phone call to book a table and they managed to fit us in. Well from the moment we arrived we got a very friendly greeting and immediately we felt relaxed and taken to our table. Selections of food for all requirements in our group and they didn't let us down, great portions and just the right amount of time between courses. All the staff were smiling and looked like they really enjoyed serving us. I'd vist York again just to eat here.

Valentino’s Italian restaurant in York was absolutely fantastic. For us, finding halal meat is essential, and I was pleasantly surprised when I called to learn that all their beef, lamb, and chicken are halal! I enjoyed a delicious steak topped with prawns in a rich lobster sauce, while my wife savored the seabass, and our eleven-year-old daughter opted for a simple pasta pomodoro, which she spiced up with a dash of chili oil. The service was exceptional, thanks to Alberto and Gian Franco. Alberto, the restaurant owner, was incredibly warm and welcoming. To our delight, they didn’t even charge us for our daughter’s meal! Gian Franco’s singing was a highlight, and his lively personality made it feel like we were all part of a big family gathering. We can’t wait to return, God willing, before the end of our five-night stay in York! Kudos to the Valentino team!

One of the best Italian food you can taste. It was absolutely delicious and the portions are very generous. There is a good choice in the menu from fish to steak and drinks also. We just loved it

Went with my wife there after races it was a fantastic meal friendly staff very quick and efficient manager made us very welcome. It was that good. We went back again on Saturday night.

This is a very nice Italian restaurant, full of authentic Italian family and food feeling. Prices match the service and quality. Being made to feel the centre of attention by the staff whilst they are still dealing with other dinners is a skill you do not often encounter, nor the stunning sing from John Franko. For the real Italian experience, choose Valentino's.

Great experience! The food was flavoured properly and serve at the right temperature, all the staffs were friendly and welcoming. My friend and I were impressed by the service they provided. The price was reasonable as well. Definitely will come again.

I had been here with my family for dinner. It was a really good experience dining here. The staff were friendly and service was good. The food was fresh and delicious. Authentic Italian cuisine the Italian way. This place gets quits busy which means it is quite popular for its food and service. The staff are always happy to help. This is a must visit place for fine dining in York.
